We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to champion the user and ensure that our software products are a delight to use. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to define the user experience and to then design and implement web based user interfaces, adhering to industry guidelines, standards, and best
What you'll work on
As a member of our web development team, you’ll plan and design web application user interfaces and use your browser technology knowledge and skills, aligning with industry best practices, to develop front-end code for multiple online products.
Help to define a clear consistent user experience/interface for new and existing products and features.
Work with decision makers and implementation teams to meet business priorities as well as the needs of end users. Proactively offer suggestions and solutions to business problems in the context of UI design.
Plan and design user-centric web application interfaces using paper prototyping and software wireframing tools.
Produce high-quality interface design mock-ups using Figma.
Create maintainable and well-documented web UI deliverables in accordance with web standards. Make use of HTML, CSS and some JavaScript.
Optimise front-end code for display in multiple browsers, operating systems and platforms, including mobile devices and email.
Serve as a technical resource to developers to assist with troubleshooting and resolving front-end issues.
Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering.
Teach & disseminate core usability constructs and UI design principles.
What you need
10 years experience as a web application interface designer.
High degree of creativity and excellent problem solving abilities.
Good visual design sense and an understanding of usability principles.
Excellent written and presentation skills as well as demonstrable visual communication skills.
Experience creating wireframes to meet needs of business stakeholders.
Highly organised and detail oriented.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, to take initiative, and to solve problems creatively and positively.
Candidate must be a fast learner and have the ability to work under pressure and within tough time constraints.
Expertise with Figma (Also Adobe Photoshop).
Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS, with an understanding of JavaScript.
Solid grasp of common interface design patterns.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to design and write clean, structured, readable and well documented mark-up for UI components.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in the context of design management and interactive product development.
Must be able to work to time scales, approach problems in a logical and efficient manner, and report any issues pro-actively.
Some experience with wireframing applications would be valuable.
Some familiarity with database design and basic backend application-development principles.
A portfolio of work or samples of interaction design work is required.
Other Skills and Experience that would be Highly Valued:
Programming experience and creation of interactive prototypes.
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field.

is obsessive about pixel perfect designs and valid, semantic mark-up.

is interested in words and how best to communicate a clear message.
is able to convey complex ideas with simple sketches.
has a passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces.
